Kicking in the new year 2024!
I hope my message finds you in great spirits and health as we welcome the promising year of 2024. Apologies for the near silence in the past weeks. I have some exciting news to share with you all.
I have recently joined Newsweek as their China News Reporter based in Taipei, as some of you who follow me elsewhere would know. This opportunity to work as a China News Reporter for Newsweek is a significant step in my career and a chance to delve deeper into East Asia. I will be based in Taiwan for the foreseeable future.
This also means I am no longer contributing opinion columns to The Print.

In Taiwan, I am closely watching the upcoming presidential elections, which will not just be consequential for the Indo-Pacific region but also give people in Taiwan an opportunity to express their opinions on recent developments through the ballot.
